Q: How do I care for my Hip & Waisted leather belt?
A: The leather we use is robust, full grain, heavy weight shoulder with a pure aniline finish, it will simply take on a rich patina as you wear it.
If it gets wet simply wipe it with a damp cloth. if it gets dry (if you haven’t worn it for a while & its been stored with little or no ventilation, then feed it with a leather conditioner, it will soon come back to life)
Q: How do I measure for the belt I wish to order?
A: One way is to check your jeans/trouser/skirt size & add 2”-2.5” depending on the thickness of the jeans/trouser/skirt eg. you wear a size 36 jean so 38 will be your size.
Another is to measure the belt you usually wear from the tip of the buckle to the pippin hole that’s comfortable, that will be your approximate size.
Q: Are your belts made from one piece of leather or are they bonded like most belts we’ve seen?
A: Our belts are make from one piece of wonderful English full grain, robust, heavy weight leather approx. 3.6mm-3.8mm thick.
Q: Will the colour of the belts run onto my clothes?
A: It shouldn’t, unless you get the belt very wet. The leather we use is in it’s purest form so there will be inherent natural variations in colour & markings, this is what makes it so beautiful! It does however, mean you do need to protect it from water & extreme sources of heat, where possible. Water can penetrate the belt & darken the leather, the surface may be polished with a soft dry cloth but treatment beyond this should be avoided. If you do get the belt wet & find staining on your clothes, it will simply wash out & will not stain as it is soluble.
Q: How secure are the press studs?
A: Very secure. We use high quality metal press studs on each of our belts. They are rigorously tested & are designed to only open when you want them to.
Q: Would you custom make any size?
A: Yes, we know some of us are in-between sizes so we are more than happy to make your belt to your size specification, at no extra cost. (We are limited to a belt size of about 54” hides permitting) Simply email your order to: info@hipandwaisted or call us on 07446 159465

Q: Can I return or exchange my item?
A: Returning an item couldn’t be easier. Try your purchases in the comfort of your own home and if you need to send them back we will be happy to offer you an exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. This includes items purchased in the sale or with a promotion code. All returns must be accompanied by a copy of your proof of purchase.

Processing your Refund
Upon receipt of items, the credit or debit card originally used for the purchase will be credited with the cost of the goods, minus the delivery charges (exceptions may apply). We will process your refund within 3 days of receipt. Your credit card company may take 4-7 working days to credit your account.
